Veterinary assistants and licensed veterinary technicians are invited to join us for two exciting days of hands-on learning at the Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine’s Second Annual RaiderVet Veterinary Technician Continuing Education event, held June 11–12, 2026, in Amarillo.
Earn up to 16 hours of AAVSB RACE-approved continuing education while sharpening your skills, learning new techniques, and building clinical confidence alongside fellow veterinary professionals.
On June 11, you'll choose your track - either small-animal or large-animal wet labs. Each track has limited capacity, so early registration is encouraged. (Participants will remain in their selected track for the day.) On June 12, enjoy a full day of engaging, small-animal–focused lectures.
Learn from TTU School of Veterinary Medicine faculty and special guest speakers covering a wide range of practical topics, including Beef Quality Assurance certification, large-animal medicine, communication and conflict resolution, hematology, urology, parasitology, radiology, empathy and euthanasia, anesthesia monitoring, canine toxicities, and rattlesnake exposure. CE credit hours vary by session. Wet labs are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Large-animal labs on June 11 will be held at Mariposa Station, with all small-animal labs and lectures taking place on the TTU School of Veterinary Medicine main campus.
