The Free Market Institute (FMI) is accepting applications for the Spring 2025 Political Economy Reading Program. All full-time undergraduate students from any field of study at Texas Tech University or Angelo State University are eligible and encouraged to apply for an invitation to participate in the program at their respective university. Participants that successfully complete the program receive a $1,000 scholarship at the end of the semester!

The application deadline is December 08, 2024. More details about meeting dates, times and locations on each campus will be shared when invitations to participate are issued in December.

About the Program

The FMI Political Economy Reading Program is an extracurricular, non-credit reading program in which students participate in weekly discussions about topics in economics and political economy. The program will run at both Texas Tech University and Angelo State University during the spring 2025 semester.

Each program will begin with an introductory meeting at the start of the spring 2025 semester, followed by ten (10) discussion meetings. Meetings will be held twice a week throughout the semester on Monday and Thursday evenings from 5:00-6:15 PM at Texas Tech University and from 5:30-6:45 PM at Angelo State University. Dinner will be provided at each discussion meeting. The program will conclude on or before March 13, 2025.
